This
box is a standard type internet cafe terminal. It is equipped with a small PC, a TFT monitor,
a keyboard, a mouse and an uninterruptable power supply (UPS). The client PC is being controlled either by a coin
machine attached to the box or a central server controlling computer.

Please
note that we choose computer systems of the new 64-bit technology which gives us the certainty
to be compatable with todays and tomorrows multimedia equipment. In
addition we choose quality TFTs (LCD) and laser printers. The
PCs are ready to use, operating system as well as anti-virus software
and internet-café-software is pre-installed. The internet software is a
multi-language version and covers the main languages e.g. English,
German, Spanish, etc. All PCs are protected by an UPS (uninterruptible
power supply) which protects them against damage from sudden power loss
or power surge.
Installed software shuts the PCs down in a controlled
manor in case of power loss for a longer time period. We offer two
different PC systems, one called “Surf”, the other one called
“Multimedia”. The difference is that the Multimedia PC is equipped with
a webcam, USB frontal connections, a card reader and an optical disk
DVDRW for burning data to a CD or DVD media. The Surf PC does not have
these features. Please select the PC you want or combine them as you
like. Further, of course, we offer individualy configured computer
systems.
The
boxes for the internet places will be setup by competent CompuRed Technicians. They will be
constructed in a way to prevent possible major damage to the PCs and TFTs and
make sure the IT hardware cannot be taken away easily by unwanted persons
(except keyboards and mice).
After our
technicians are done with the basic setup of the boxes and the
configuration of the workstations the start with the configuration of
the server computer. This server will control the workstations in all
details. As soon as they're done with the server they will start to
introduce the staff of the internet café so they are capable to start,
reset and even troubleshoot the network surrounding on first-level basis.
Should they not be able to repair smaller problems themselves, they can
make use of our phone help desk user support by contacting our computer
shop and talk to a technician. If this measure does'nt solve the
problem one of our computer and network technicians will come out to
support the staff onsite. Depending on the skill of the staff and the
computer systems used by the clients we offer them special computer
and/or network maintenance contracts to only charge the clients budget
in a reasonable range.
